The referee ignored Chañar's protests and gave Federico Honrio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chañar's Federico Honrio got a free kick in the 7th minute. Ariel Petrigai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Urbano Pacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Payogasta AFC's zone, Aquiles Rivas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Oskitz came out of the goal and Aquiles Rivas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urbano Pacho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Astrada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Payogasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Maties. If Cristo Manex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nereo Oskitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Rivas in the 24th minute of the match. Jeremias Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Honrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nereo Oskitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chañar's Urbano Pacho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Petrigai in the 35th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Payogasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Etor. Chañar's Ignacio Eutor couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Payogasta AFC. Gavino Gorri kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Romeo Herena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Oskitz having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Benjamin Leobardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Payogasta AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chañar the free kick. A collision led to Payogasta AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Benjamin Leobardo hit a great ball. Nereo Oskitz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aquiles Rivas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. In the 45thth minute of the game Federico Honrio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Payogasta AFC's Nereo Oskitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Ekain made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Cecilio Gorri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Payogasta AFC and the Chañar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Cecilio Gorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Dalmau's late challenge caught a Payogasta AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Dalmau helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chañar! When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, Payogasta AFC's Fulgencio Illan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Urbano Pacho. Ariel Petrigai helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Chañar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Honrio to maneuver through the defense. Payogasta AFC's Nereo Oskitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Estevez in the 76th minute of play. 4-1 became the score in the 79th minute when Jeremias Ekain elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Payogasta AFC defense, Alejo Seme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nereo Oskitz. The Payogasta AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nereo Oskitz should have stopped the shot. After 90 played minutes Chañar got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Eutor. In the 95th minute Jacobo Astrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Pacho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Ekain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nereo Oskitz having to make a save.
