The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Hernan Bastiaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tuizón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los pibes de VM the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tuizón's Hernan Bastiaro got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Tuizón's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Lartaun came free, but Albano Esdras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Los pibes de VM getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Erasmo Ospetsu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Tuizón's Hernan Bastiaro got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Mario Heriberto shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Tuizón's Albano Esdras to catch but Mario Heriberto was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. 27 minutes into the match, Los pibes de VM's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Simeon came free, but Abelardo Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristo Fiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristo Fiz in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albano Esdras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Simeon in the 37th minute of play forced Los pibes de VM's goalkeeper Abelardo Gonsalvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Cristo Fiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Albano Esdras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 44 minutes, Cristo Fiz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los pibes de VM and the Tuizón players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Los pibes de VM got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Fiz. Abelardo Gonsalvo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Simeon in the 48th minute. The Tuizón players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los pibes de VM were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Gaspar to make the kick off. In the 74th minute, Cristo Fiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristo Fiz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albano Esdras. That made the score 1-4 in the 77 minute of play. Leonides Lartaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Esdras having to interfere. When Los pibes de VM's Cristo Fiz in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tuizón's goalie prevented a goal. 86 minutes into the match, Leonides Lartaun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albano Esdras, 1-5. Albano Esdras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Lartaun in the 89th minute of the match. Albano Esdras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Fiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Tuizón's zone, Amancio Cordarrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Esdras came out of the goal and Amancio Cordarrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
