DEPORTIVO EMPATE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Acevedo in the 19th minute of play forced DEPORTIVO EMPATE's goalkeeper Isidro Txerran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DEPORTIVO EMPATE's Isidro Txerran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save DEPORTIVO EMPATE from getting a goal against them. Isidro Txerran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Acevedo in the 23rd minute of play. Silvestre Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fabian Jaume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Malvinas Argentinas's zone, Marcial Oso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO EMPATE's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Lain came free, but Isidro Txerran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Marcial Oso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidro Txerran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Tabb in the 73rd minute of play. Gustavo Eutor's late challenge caught a Malvinas Argentinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
