Cristobal Virila's late challenge caught a Yalapa AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristobal Virila helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Virila to maneuver through the defense. Yalapa AFC's Faustino Ovando got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulises Lamberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Baniciu in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Falckner FC's zone, Braulio Banegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Tono came out of the goal and Braulio Banegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustino Ovando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Domingos Tono made a huge save. In the 33rd minute, Horaţiu Baniciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teo Haitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustino Ovando to make the kick off. When Teo Haitz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Falckner FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Haitz couldn't finish the play. Emilio Bemabe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulises Lamberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Salvidor to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Sebastian Monte in the 69th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Yalapa AFC's Ezequiel Mattin. In the 72ndth minute of the game Horaţiu Baniciu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yalapa AFC's Ulises Lamberto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 73 minutes, Romário Britto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falckner FC and the Yalapa AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Romário Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Ovando came free, but Domingos Tono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Cristobal Virila hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Yalapa AFC had won after a very even match.
