After 19 minutes of play, Mati y Luli's Ismael Dolfo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteban Curcio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, El Porvenir's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Lamberto came free, but Esteban Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the El Porvenir defense, Leon Richie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteban Curcio. The El Porvenir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteban Curcio should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Elias Matia made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Elias Matia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Porvenir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mati y Luli the free kick. In the 51st match minute, El Porvenir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Matia to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the game, Feliberto Lamberto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esteban Curcio. Victoriano Sidoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Orlo having to interfere. Esteban Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Dolfo in the 63rd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Mati y Luli's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Matia came free, but Venancio Orlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Bo-Erik Lundqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Porvenir's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo-Erik Lundqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venancio Orlo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, El Porvenir's Esteban Curcio got control of the ball when Leon Richie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leon Richie kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to Mati y Luli getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ismael Dolfo hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Ismael Dolfo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Esteban Curcio, 1-5. Venancio Orlo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Matia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Dolfo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Mati y Luli booed when El Porvenir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Mingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Elias Matia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Venancio Orlo. Mati y Luli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Matia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mati y Luli had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
