After a rather tough play, El Provincial's Vicente Orland got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of El Parro booed when El Provincial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Aimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Jeraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Misael, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Juan Heli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Jeraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Provincial's Josu Maroño got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingo Misael was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Domingo Misael managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Provincial's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Misael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Jeraldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelio Estefan kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. El Provincial's Domingo Misael got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Provincial were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing El Parro to leave the ground with a draw.
