After a defensive mix-up in Timperley's zone, Greger Ivarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Itzaina came out of the goal and Greger Ivarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Carolo Cordaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argentinos Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Cordaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Itzaina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 22 minutes, Carolo Cordaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argentinos Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carolo Cordaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Greger Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Laureano Itzaina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when Timperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Otsoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Llorenc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Otsoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Timperley's Gaston Otsoa got a free kick in the 35th minute. The supporters of Timperley booed when Argentinos Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Columbo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casimiro Silbestre was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Timperley's zone, Greger Ivarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Itzaina came out of the goal and Greger Ivarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A sloppy throw-in by Eulalio Eriz in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Argentinos Juniors's Carolo Cordaro. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Greger Ivarsson took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Laureano Itzaina to make any attempt to save it. Timperley's Laureano Itzaina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Timperley from getting a goal against them. After 63 played minutes Timperley got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Silbestre. Urmo Mustpea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Itzaina having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Nereo Tartalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match Edelmiro Belo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingos Llorenc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Bernabe Matai made a precise shot to the right of Domingos Llorenc. Argentinos Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 88 minutes into the game, Eulalio Eriz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Argentinos Juniors's Carolo Cordaro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Laureano Itzaina acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Apolo Columbo. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Remigio Iraunkor got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 95 minutes of play, Timperley's Casimiro Silbestre made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingos Llorenc was left in no man's land by his defense there! Argentinos Juniors's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
