Remigio Gergori might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albano Udalaitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remigio Gergori ran back to his position shaking his head. APLIQUE APLIQUE FC's Albano Udalaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Cordarin in the 21st minute of play. If Ricardo Cordarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. APLIQUE APLIQUE FC's Amancio Lordi got his second yellow card of the match in the 24th minute. The referee ordered Amancio Lordi off the ground. After a rather tough play, APLIQUE APLIQUE FC's Amancio Lordi got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Ricardo Cordarin made a precise shot to the right of Albano Udalaitz. APLIQUE APLIQUE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 30 minutes into the game, Marciano Sidoro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquiles Aresti was the one to do the kick off. Cornelio Patxi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquiles Aresti in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Pietro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 57 minutes, Ricardo Cordarin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Cordarin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when APLIQUE APLIQUE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Tavio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heine Sebelin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albano Udalaitz having to make a save. In the 83rd minute, Ricardo Cordarin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes APLIQUE APLIQUE FC got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Juvenal. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Sarsfield's zone, Aquiles Aresti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Pietro came out of the goal and Aquiles Aresti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Velez Sarsfield's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
