Spectators: 6647 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ricardo Cordarin kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Napalpí FC's zone, Ricardo Cordarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Cordarrell came out of the goal and Ricardo Cordarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Cordarin in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Cordarrell saved Napalpí FC from getting behind. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gerardo Benet hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Napalpí FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Cordarin came free, but Geronimo Cordarrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Cordarin in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Cordarrell saved Napalpí FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerardo Benet during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geronimo Cordarrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Cordarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes Napalpí FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Raimundo Quirce who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Raimundo Quirce almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Napalpí FC's Geronimo Cordarrell did a great save. In the 28th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heine Sebelin to maneuver through the defense. Napalpí FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rosendo Belarmo in the 35th minute. The corner led Napalpí FC's Rosendo Belarmo to fire away a dangerous shot which Luciano Pietro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rosendo Belarmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luciano Pietro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Cordarin in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Cordarrell saved Napalpí FC from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomiro Lluis to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Remigio Gergori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Cordarin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 58th playminute. Luciano Pietro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Lluis in the 71st minute of play. Velez Sarsfield's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
