The crowd rose to their feet as Galarza's Miguel Enekoitz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cipriano Quinton. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. In the 37th minute, Racing Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Miguel Enekoitz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Racing Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Juan Refugio scored to the left of an out of position Cipriano Quinton, making the score, 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Enekoitz made a kick off. When Rigoberto Oliviero fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Club's protests and gave Rigoberto Oliviero a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Rigoberto Oliviero hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Rigoberto Oliviero got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Jimeno Guillelmo came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Galarza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Guillelmo couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Conrado Incendio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Galarza getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Galarza's Jimeno Guillelmo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Galarza's goalkeeper Severo Hulberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Efrain Erramun. If Miguel Enekoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Miguel Enekoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Quinton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Enekoitz struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Cipriano Quinton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galarza. Jimeno Guillelmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th match minute, Galarza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Refugio to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Galarza were the better team. Galarza's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
