Ezequiel Abad charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Abad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Estebano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fermin Grabiel was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Fermin Grabiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Honrio in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Modesto Evangelista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salamines FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Evangelista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Salamines FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
