Martin Abaunza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Cristiano Baptista dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gregorio Bidari, 1-0. In the 14th minute of the match Julio Izotz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Bidari skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Invernadas FC's zone, Silvio Rubio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Bidari came out of the goal and Silvio Rubio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute of the match Julio Izotz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Bidari showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Kemen in the 20th minute of play forced los pibes canayas's goalkeeper Martin Abaunza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to los pibes canayas getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Angelo Lixandro hit a great ball. After 24 played minutes los pibes canayas got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Lixandro. The los pibes canayas fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when los pibes canayas's Cristiano Baptista looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Martin Abaunza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Silvanito's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Eulalio Silvanito took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Abaunza. Martin Abaunza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lázaro Kemen to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Eulalio Silvanito got a very nice opportunity to score, but Martin Abaunza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 55th minute, Haroldo Platon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gregorio Bidari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Rubio in the 61st minute of play. Cristiano Baptista struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Gregorio Bidari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for los pibes canayas. 66 minutes into the match, Cristiano Baptista notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Invernadas FC's Gregorio Bidari. Gregorio Bidari was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Martin Abaunza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ezequiel Bras. Lázaro Kemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Abaunza having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in los pibes canayas's zone, Eulalio Silvanito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Abaunza came out of the goal and Eulalio Silvanito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Abaunza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ezequiel Bras. Cristiano Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregorio Bidari having to make a save. Gregorio Bidari came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by los pibes canayas's Silvio Rubio. But to his dismay, Silvio Rubio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Invernadas FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
