Aurelio Inguma might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Segundo Gregory. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurelio Inguma ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Oliviero was the one to do the kick off. Nereo Abajas hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Segundo Gregory made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Oliviero in the 56th minute of play. With 57 minutes on the clock, Isidro Sarracino commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Fabricio Tano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Christiano de Mendonça made a huge save. In the 66th minute Ruperto Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes C.A.River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Oliviero. In the 68th minute of the match Hipolito Millano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christiano de Mendonça showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sotos Kalimeris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruperto Urdaspal really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. A collision led to C.A.River Plate getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Sotos Kalimeris hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Rigoberto Ponc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christiano de Mendonça was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4.
