Alejo Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gervasio Gonzalez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Alejo Astudillo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Normando in the 59th minute of play forced Sauce's goalkeeper Jonathan Jerold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sauce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Gonzalez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Sauce fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Sauce's Gervasio Gonzalez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 71 minutes of play, Candelaria's Leonardo Cidro made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Jerold was left in no man's land by his defense there! Candelaria's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rodolfo Baraquiel 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervasio Gonzalez got free with Alejo Astudillo in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sauce's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
