Santo Hitzeder's late challenge caught a Naranja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Hitzeder helped the player get up and apologised. Christian Todor kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Lorenzo Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progresso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenzo Ralondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Naranja getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Astor Rutenio hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Lorenzo Ralondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Chumo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Ralondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th match minute, Naranja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Bonifaco to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Progresso FC's Christian Todor got a free kick in the 44th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorenzo Ralondo was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Progresso FC's goalkeeper Israel Boniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Israel Boniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Progresso FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Santo Hitzeder hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Alberto Motta during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th minute, Carlos Alberto Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Progresso FC booed when Naranja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Walroth didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Ospin in the 82nd minute of play forced Progresso FC's goalkeeper Israel Boniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Progresso FC booed when Naranja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Kimetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Naranja's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Bitxintxo came free, but Silvano Chumo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, Naranja's Daniel Walroth made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Israel Boniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Naranja were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
