The supporters of Racing Club de Avellaneda booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Celipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Ignas Borgaila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Bernard Grunwalski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esteve Guillelmo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Racing Club de Avellaneda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Milio to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the game, Julián Toxeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club de Avellaneda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. In the 42nd minute of the match, Ignas Borgaila tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Esteve Guillelmo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Boca Juniors's Esteve Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignas Borgaila in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Racing Club de Avellaneda's Alonzo Isauro was substituted for Cristobal Orlondo. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignas Borgaila made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Bernard Grunwalski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julián Toxeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Arturo Edwardo got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ignas Borgaila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteve Guillelmo having to make a save. Esteve Guillelmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Grunwalski in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignas Borgaila in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Guillelmo saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignas Borgaila in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esteve Guillelmo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Racing Club de Avellaneda fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boca Juniors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
