Ceferino Lesardo came out and tried to block the shot, but Paolo Baldovino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. 8 minutes into the match, Paolo Baldovino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ceferino Lesardo. Ancaján AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paolo Baldovino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Baldovino in the 13th minute of play forced Ancaján AFC's goalkeeper Ceferino Lesardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ancaján AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rosendo Clodio hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Silvio Urki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ceferino Lesardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Bernard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Bartuelo having to interfere. Ceferino Lesardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Bernard in the 34th minute of the match. Serafin Oriche hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Serafin Oriche fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River de Gesell's protests and gave Serafin Oriche a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes River de Gesell got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Oriche. In the 46th minute Silvio Urki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Bartuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. Ceferino Lesardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Bernard, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Vladimiro Isias was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ancaján AFC! Domingo Mancio shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 60th minute, Robin Sundin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River de Gesell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Robin Sundin took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ceferino Lesardo. Ceferino Lesardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Ceferino Lesardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Mancio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Robin Sundin sped through Ancaján AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ceferino Lesardo. After 88 minutes of play, River de Gesell's Robin Sundin made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ceferino Lesardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute Robin Sundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Lesardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Paolo Baldovino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ceferino Lesardo. Ancaján AFC's Ceferino Lesardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Baldovino in the 98th minute of play. 100 minutes into the game, River de Gesell's Ceferino Bernard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ceferino Lesardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0.
