Alianza's Silvestre Olivar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Weterio in the 20th minute of play. Apolo Ignazio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Lixandro in the 22nd minute of play. Apolo Ignazio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Guillem in the 23rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Calzada AFC defense, Per Haström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apolo Ignazio. The Calzada AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apolo Ignazio should have stopped the shot. C.A. Alianza were furious when Marcelo Argina was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Silvestre Olivar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Rosalio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Silvestre Olivar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Alianza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Chumo to maneuver through the defense. Christian Lixandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Apolo Ignazio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Haström in the 93rd minute of play forced Calzada AFC's goalkeeper Apolo Ignazio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apolo Ignazio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Lixandro in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. C.A. Alianza had won after a very even match.
