Honorio Olando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Veremundo having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Benedicto Mitxel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ANELKA FCS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedicto Mitxel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ANELKA FCS manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Fernet y Fasito to win.
