Felipe Pacorro charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Pacorro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Deportivo Merlo booed when Diego milito.fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Pacorro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Tzaribrodski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Damaso Florian came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Diego milito.fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Florian couldn't finish the play. Harold Stemberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Primitivo Brais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damaso Florian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Diego milito.fc's Sergio Jon got a free kick in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Todor got free with Primitivo Brais in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Todor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Primitivo Brais made a huge save. Sergio Jon struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Horacio Cordarrell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diego milito.fc. Fernando Todor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fernando Todor fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Merlo's protests and gave Fernando Todor a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Todor hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Horacio Cordarrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Oihan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benigno Oihan to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Deportivo Merlo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amancio Tonete who took care of the corner kick. If Damaso Florian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st match minute, Diego milito.fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Dei to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Felipe Pacorro in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deportivo Merlo's Robustiano Telo. After having played for 70 minutes, Damaso Florian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diego milito.fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Florian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego milito.fc's Damaso Florian got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Merlo's goalkeeper Horacio Cordarrell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diego milito.fc's Amancio Tonete broke free in the 80th minute of the match and struck a powerful long shot that almost became a goal, but instead the ball went outside the right post. An obvious chance of a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Merlo's zone, Benigno Oihan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Cordarrell came out of the goal and Benigno Oihan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego milito.fc's Benigno Oihan got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego milito.fc's Primitivo Brais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Stemberg in the 86th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Diego milito.fc's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Todor came free, but Primitivo Brais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Damaso Florian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diego milito.fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Damaso Florian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Cordarrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
