In the 6th minute, Gonzalo Endira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Garikoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Benat in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eleuterio Benat in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Garikoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tinta Azul FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Federico Basabilvaso in the 14th minute. After taking down the ball on Tinta Azul FC's corner Federico Basabilvaso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabian Garikoitz quite easily take care of the ball. After 17 played minutes Tinta Azul FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Ciano. 29 minutes into the game, Armando Assis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Leopoldo Barrionuevo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Isusko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BORUSSIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tinta Azul FC the free kick. After 33 played minutes BORUSSIA got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Isusko. When Tinta Azul FC's Eleuterio Benat in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BORUSSIA's goalie prevented a goal. Fabian Garikoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Benat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Tinta Azul FC's Gaudencio Ciano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Garikoitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gaudencio Ciano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Fabian Garikoitz made a huge save. A collision led to BORUSSIA getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Narciso Lonzo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Gaudencio Ciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tinta Azul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaudencio Ciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Garikoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half BORUSSIA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eleuterio Benat made a kick off. BORUSSIA's Fabian Garikoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Ciano in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Tinta Azul FC booed when BORUSSIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Norino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 minutes, Zeledon Arano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tinta Azul FC and the BORUSSIA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tinta Azul FC's Zeledon Arano got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Leopoldo Barrionuevo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Assis went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the match, Armando Assis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leopoldo Barrionuevo, 0-5. After 81 played minutes BORUSSIA got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Pitin. Fabian Garikoitz came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Tinta Azul FC's Gaudencio Ciano. But to his dismay, Gaudencio Ciano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 89thth minute of the game Gaudencio Ciano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BORUSSIA's Fabian Garikoitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armando Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Barrionuevo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Assis in the 95th minute of play forced Tinta Azul FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Barrionuevo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Tinta Azul FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
