In the 16th minute Cornelio Guillen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Conrao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Tripacorazon got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Peelen. 23 minutes into the match, Orhan Veli Özerk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guillermo Tavio. Alvear FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orhan Veli Özerk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to Tripacorazon getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Maximino Abaunza hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Cornelio Guillen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Conrao was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 39th minute, Feliberto Joachim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteban Rivas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guillermo Tavio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Maximino Abaunza came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Tripacorazon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Abaunza couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Alvear FC's Ciriaco Ekialde got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Orhan Veli Özerk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. Tripacorazon's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
