Angelo Orain hit a great ball. Patricio Ellande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Berenguer in the 9th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Javier Luke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Ellande was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Luis Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Patricio Ellande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximino Guifre's late challenge caught a Velez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Guifre helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vodka Juniors's Maximino Guifre got a free kick in the 36th minute. Velez's Albano Lain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Guifre in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Velez's goalkeeper Albano Lain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Oihan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Guifre in the 43rd minute of play forced Velez's goalkeeper Albano Lain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Ellande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Luke, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Javier Luke to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Vodka Juniors's Jairo Cordario made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Aaron Oihan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vodka Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Oihan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albano Lain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Patricio Ellande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Javier Luke could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Patricio Ellande however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Velez booed when Vodka Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Orain didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Oihan in the 87th minute of play forced Velez's goalkeeper Albano Lain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Berenguer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Ellande having to make a save. Javier Luke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Ellande having to interfere. Velez were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
