Bernardo Txilar hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Erubiel Beltran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Adrio's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Sportivo Avellaneda's Feliciano Jerold got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Avellaneda. 72 minutes into the game, Cecilio Jakue was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Iguana Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Avellaneda the free kick.
