The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lázaro Bernad kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Adrio in the 10th minute of play forced Catri United's goalkeeper Rogelio Arnau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogelio Arnau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Adrio's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Bogumil Marek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Kelemen in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Felipe Hernando made a precise shot to the right of Bogumil Marek. Sportivo Avellaneda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Rogelio Arnau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Adrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Isaac Baleren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catri United's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Baleren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogumil Marek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Catri United's Roberto Munio pulled a muscle in his leg after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Salvador Gaxan charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Gaxan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Catri United's Anibal Aznar was substituted for Roberto Munio. A collision led to Sportivo Avellaneda getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Salvador Gaxan hit a great ball. Salvador Gaxan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rogelio Arnau came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Avellaneda's Aurelio Adrio. But to his dismay, Aurelio Adrio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Federico Medardo lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Catri United! Bogumil Marek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambrosio Kelemen's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ambrosio Kelemen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Felipe Hernando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Avellaneda's Atilano Inge got a free kick in the 56th minute. Dionisio Beltxe hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Felipe Hernando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sportivo Avellaneda booed when Catri United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Beltxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Amador Muno fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Avellaneda's protests and gave Amador Muno a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sportivo Avellaneda getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Amador Muno hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Catri United's Ambrosio Kelemen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bogumil Marek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bogumil Marek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambrosio Kelemen went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 77 minutes into the game, Catri United's Felipe Hernando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogumil Marek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. If Ambrosio Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogumil Marek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Kelemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Eusebio Txartiko's late challenge caught a Catri United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebio Txartiko helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Sportivo Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Txartiko. With a little luck, Sportivo Avellaneda's Bogumil Marek got control of the ball when Felipe Hernando tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Sportivo Avellaneda supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Catri United's performance. The match ended with a win for Catri United.
