Palito de la Selva were furious when Rogelio Janpier was red carded, 17 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Dagfinn Engdal went to the wrong direction when Emiliano Eufemio was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 21st match minute, Samico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Rico to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Edgard Seguinus lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Dagfinn Engdal. In the 32nd minute Daniel Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Manilan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximo Aznar helped the player get up and apologised. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Palito de la Selva booed when Samico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bernabe Rodriguez fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samico's protests and gave Bernabe Rodriguez a yellow card for diving instead. Bernabe Rodriguez kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. If Danilo Cheche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Timoteo Urki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Bernabe Frederico fired a really elegant long shot, but Augusto Manilan threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Cheche in the 92nd minute of play forced Samico's goalkeeper Augusto Manilan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Samico were victorious despite being under pressure from Palito de la Selva for much of the match.
