The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olain's Camilo Cordarell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Cuartio in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Cuartio in the 14th minute of play forced Olain's goalkeeper Camilo Cordarell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Cordarell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Cuartio in the 15th minute of play. Angelino Henrico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaston Oliviero having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Tiburcio Calvino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ROMA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Melquiades Tauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Federico Eguen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Cordarell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Melquiades Tauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gaston Oliviero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Segundo Cuartio made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Angelo Argina kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camilo Cordarell. That made the score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Melquiades Tauro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Tauro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Eguen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Maju's late challenge caught a Olain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Maju helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Olain booed when ROMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Maju didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Tiburcio Tino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olain's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ROMA the free kick. Tiburcio Tino kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Camilo Cordarell was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Tiburcio Calvino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tiburcio Calvino really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. 79 minutes into the match, Federico Eguen notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Olain's Camilo Cordarell. Camilo Cordarell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnulfo Hever kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The ROMA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
