With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Gartzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joel Gaitan struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Gavino Gartzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Nuevo Niedo. 15 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Nuevo Niedo's goalkeeper Radim Frolík had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Gorri. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Abella during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abelardo Abella hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Joel Gaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Gartzi having to interfere. Globo FC's Gavino Gartzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Kinsen in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Globo FC's Edgardo Gorri got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute Joel Gaitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Gartzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes in the game, Edelmiro Kinsen dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When Globo FC's Edgardo Gorri in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Globo FC's Edgardo Gorri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Radim Frolík. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Edelmiro Kinsen sped through Globo FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gavino Gartzi. Radim Frolík showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Gorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgardo Gorri to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgardo Gorri in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radim Frolík saved Club Atlético Nuevo Niedo from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Globo FC's Saverio Frechoso got a free kick in the 55th minute. Club Atlético Nuevo Niedo's Abelardo Abella managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Saverio Frechoso in the 57 minute of the game. Nereo Leheren kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Club Atlético Nuevo Niedo's Edelmiro Kinsen got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abelardo Abella was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Globo FC booed when Club Atlético Nuevo Niedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Abella didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joel Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaitan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paolo Platon struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gavino Gartzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Nuevo Niedo. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Atlético Nuevo Niedo players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
