When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Tord Tunander put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Romeo Ermano. If Patricio Cordarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santa Rosa F. C.'s Cleto Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Kinsen in the 37th minute of play. If Alejandro Mattin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Club Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Txindoki. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Romeo Ermano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Santa Rosa F. C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
