Guaberto Curcio took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonçalo Aleixo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After 52 minutes of play, Nío's Julian Rodriguez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Rayman was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Cannabio FC booed when Nío was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Austin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, one of Nío:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nío. 65 minutes into the match, Nío's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Curcio came free, but Gonçalo Aleixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Guaberto Curcio sped through Nío's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gonçalo Aleixo. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Guaberto Curcio put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gonçalo Aleixo. Gonçalo Aleixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Isauro in the 77th minute of play. Cecilio Isauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
