The referee showed Hermengildo Salamon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Legion Romana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Salamon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Legion Romana booed when La Academia Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Rolado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Hermengildo Salamon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Valentin Caitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aquilino Lonzo during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Zacarias Orzaize managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Academia Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Orzaize was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anacleto Osmundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zacarias Orzaize might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anacleto Osmundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zacarias Orzaize ran back to his position shaking his head. When Valentin Caitano came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the La Academia Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Caitano couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

La Academia Racing Club's Miguel Etxekopar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Artizar in the 54th minute of play. Anacleto Osmundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Orzaize, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Valentin Caitano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anacleto Osmundo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Zacarias Orzaize fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Osmundo having to interfere. Anacleto Osmundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Paskal in the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Orzaize in the 64th minute of play forced Legion Romana's goalkeeper Anacleto Osmundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Etxekopar made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Agustin Kelemen sent off a good shot on target. Anacleto Osmundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Rolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 83 minutes of play, La Academia Racing Club's Zacarias Orzaize made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anacleto Osmundo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Arnulfo Artizar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustin Kelemen hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Cayetano Furtado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miguel Etxekopar. La Academia Racing Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Valentin Caitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the La Academia Racing Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
