An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Karmel in the 81st minute of play forced Los Locos's goalkeeper Maximino Victoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Javier Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Los Locos echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Federal y Popular had held the ball for most of the match.
