When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Orlando Ranolfo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Constantino Beltxe to make any attempt to save it. 7 minutes into the match, Once Larvas's goalkeeper Constantino Beltxe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugenio Llope. In the 11th minute, Fermin Rencio made a precise shot to the right of Serafino Sanson. River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Serafino Sanson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Guillen in the 13th minute of play. When Fabian Iztal, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 20 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Constantino Beltxe was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Eugenio Llope's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Constantino Beltxe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Fabricio Guillen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Sanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Orlando Ranolfo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Constantino Beltxe. That made the score 2-1 in the 27 minute of play. Eugenio Llope in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Constantino Beltxe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Orlando Ranolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Ranolfo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Beltxe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Aureliano Gilen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Orlando Ranolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eugenio Llope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 56 minutes, Eugenio Llope made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Once Larvas's Constantino Beltxe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Angelino Bernaldo fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Once Larvas's protests and gave Angelino Bernaldo a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Once Larvas got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Bernaldo. Once Larvas's Constantino Beltxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Iztal in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Fabian Iztal made a precise shot to the right of Constantino Beltxe. Once Larvas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Constantino Beltxe came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Eugenio Llope. But to his dismay, Eugenio Llope quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. In the 72nd minute Fabian Iztal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Beltxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, River Plate's goalkeeper Serafino Sanson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelino Bernaldo. 77 minutes into the game, Eugenio Llope cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Constantino Beltxe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Constantino Beltxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Iztal in the 81st minute of play. Once Larvas's Constantino Beltxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Llope in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Once Larvas's zone, Eugenio Llope stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantino Beltxe came out of the goal and Eugenio Llope tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Efrain Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Once Larvas's zone, Eugenio Llope stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantino Beltxe came out of the goal and Eugenio Llope tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. River Plate walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
