Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Norberto Paul came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the MatuTeam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Paul couldn't finish the play. Virgilio Venceslas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roque Dunixi in the 5th minute. 5 minutes into the game, Placido Flor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MatuTeam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapalqué the free kick. If Jimeno Iraunkor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MatuTeam's Virgilio Venceslas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save MatuTeam from getting a goal against them. Virgilio Venceslas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 19 minutes into the match, MatuTeam's goalkeeper Virgilio Venceslas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Dunixi. Virgilio Venceslas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Casado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Placido Flor hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jimeno Iraunkor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Virgilio Venceslas came out and tried to block the shot, but Jimeno Iraunkor slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 24th minute. Zeledon Mincho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clodoveo Panfilo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tapalqué's Faustino Mendez got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 31 minutes of play MatuTeam's Placido Flor was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 32 played minutes MatuTeam got a freekick which was hit by Placido Flor. In the 36th minute, Dionisio Loiola reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Virgilio Venceslas. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 38th minute, Witold Pleban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Venceslas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Iraunkor in the 43rd minute of the match. MatuTeam's Virgilio Venceslas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Casado in the 45th minute of play. If Fabio Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roque Dunixis short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Virgilio Venceslas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabio Casado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Virgilio Venceslas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabio Casado went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 56th match minute, Tapalqué was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Alfonso to maneuver through the defense. Ruperto Ascencio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Clodoveo Panfilo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dionisio Loiola's late challenge caught a MatuTeam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dionisio Loiola helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Dionisio Loiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clodoveo Panfilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Selmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 minutes, Roque Dunixi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tapalqué and the MatuTeam players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Roque Dunixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Venceslas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Dunixi in the 66th minute of the match. MatuTeam's Virgilio Venceslas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Dunixi in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Fabio Casado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Venceslas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Zeledon Mincho struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Clodoveo Panfilo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MatuTeam. Ruperto Ascencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clodoveo Panfilo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruperto Ascencio ran back to his position shaking his head. Virgilio Venceslas came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Tapalqué's Dionisio Loiola. But to his dismay, Dionisio Loiola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. The audience was convinced that Ruperto Ascencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clodoveo Panfilo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. A collision led to MatuTeam getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Elias Abarca hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Tapalqué's Abel Alfonso tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. MatuTeam's Virgilio Venceslas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Casado in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Iraunkor in the 89th minute of play forced MatuTeam's goalkeeper Virgilio Venceslas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tapalqué booed when MatuTeam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Birila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Venceslas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Dunixi in the 95th minute of the match. Zeledon Mincho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Panfilo having to interfere. Tapalqué walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
