When Justino Veremundo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Guajal AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justino Veremundo couldn't finish the play. After 70 minutes, Mario Pacifico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bañado FC and the Guajal AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bañado FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Mario Pacifico hit a great ball. In the 72nd match minute, Guajal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Bañado FC's Ambrosio Ishmael threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marciano Ubelteso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
