The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Los Andes defense, Blas Min kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionuț Tirulescu. The Los Andes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ionuț Tirulescu should have stopped the shot. Aristides Gabirel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes Los Andes got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Gabirel. Los Andes's Ionuț Tirulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Cordario in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the Los Andes defense, Edgardo Valiente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionuț Tirulescu. The Los Andes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ionuț Tirulescu should have stopped the shot. If Segundo Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Jose Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Andes's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Dominguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Edwardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafin Edwardo was a little too slow when Segundo Guib got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Valiente came free, but Ionuț Tirulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes, Celso Jaen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Andes and the Glew FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edgardo Valiente charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Valiente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serafin Edwardo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Ionuț Tirulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Atarrabi in the 33rd minute of play. If Segundo Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Jaen kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Valiente came free, but Ionuț Tirulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Andes's Ionuț Tirulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Valiente in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Glew FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Domingos Manuelo hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Guib stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Emilio Atarrabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionuț Tirulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Andes's Ionuț Tirulescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Los Andes from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Guib in the 57th minute of play forced Glew FC's goalkeeper Serafin Edwardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Edwardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Gaur in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Glew FC's Edgardo Valiente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionuț Tirulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Blas Min struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ionuț Tirulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glew FC. 73 minutes into the match, Segundo Guib had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafin Edwardo. Glew FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Segundo Guib was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Min got free with Ionuț Tirulescu in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the game, Glew FC's Edgardo Valiente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ionuț Tirulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. The Los Andes fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Los Andes's Segundo Guib looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pablo Aznaro kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Ionuț Tirulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Valiente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Segundo Guib in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafin Edwardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Glew FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Domingos Manuelo hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Gabriel Izotz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serafin Edwardo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Los Andes's Ionuț Tirulescu got control of the ball when Emilio Atarrabi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Los Andes booed when Glew FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Cordario didn't get a good kick on the ball.
