All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Uffe Kamman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Rubio's supporters rose to their feet, but Uffe Kamman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Felipillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Endira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Edelmiro Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cortaderas's zone, Aldo Cresencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Felipillo came out of the goal and Aldo Cresencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Marco Nel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edelmiro Felipillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Nel in the 63rd minute of play forced Cortaderas's goalkeeper Edelmiro Felipillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dalmacio Sidoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Felipillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christian Isias's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rigoberto Gustau firmly grabbed it by the left post.
