Adan Arixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Umbruso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Eustaquio Goyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Arixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo de Merlo's Adan Arixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Umbruso in the 37th minute of play. Adan Arixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Umbruso, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Santo de Merlo's zone, Eustaquio Goyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adan Arixo came out of the goal and Eustaquio Goyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pronunciamiento's Hugo Umbruso got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Umbruso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adan Arixo having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Santo de Merlo's Rigoberto Peruanton got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute Eustaquio Goyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Arixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Gimenez to strike the kick off in the second half. Pronunciamiento's Eustacio Montrelle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Gimenez in the 52nd minute of play. Casimiro Cilio's late challenge caught a Santo de Merlo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casimiro Cilio helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Pronunciamiento got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Cilio. Hugo Umbruso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adan Arixo firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Casimiro Cilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes Pronunciamiento got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Dino. Eustacio Montrelle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Gimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo de Merlo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hugo Umbruso 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. In the 79th minute Pascual Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Montrelle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Chan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Eustaquio Goyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pronunciamiento's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustaquio Goyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adan Arixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Hugo Umbruso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gustavo Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adan Arixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Goyo in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Hugo Umbruso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Arixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Santo de Merlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Caitano to maneuver through the defense. Pronunciamiento's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
