Haroldo Enmanuel charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Enmanuel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Newbery FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Haroldo Enmanuel hit a great ball. The Newbery FC fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Newbery FC's Lúcio Cabral looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Cabral in the 19th minute of play forced Brinkman's goalkeeper Victoriano Tolino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Victoriano Tolino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Pérez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Tolino having to interfere. If Lúcio Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Brinkman's zone, Brian Pérez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Tolino came out of the goal and Brian Pérez tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 40thth minute of the game Haroldo Enmanuel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brinkman's Victoriano Tolino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brinkman's Victoriano Tolino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Cabral in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 minutes Brinkman's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Raimundo Lixandro who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Brian Pérez managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Victoriano Tolino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Enmanuel in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Lastur to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Brinkman booed when Newbery FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Transito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Newbery FC's Hermengildo Lehen got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Brinkman's goalkeeper Victoriano Tolino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brian Pérez. In the 56th minute, Brinkman's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Haroldo Enmanuel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 59th minute, Newbery FC's Hermengildo Lehen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victoriano Tolino. Victoriano Tolino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Enmanuel in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Tolino saved Brinkman from getting behind. Primitivo Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Tolino having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Brian Pérez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Pedro Honesto kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Haroldo Enmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Haroldo Enmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Newbery FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brinkman throughout the match.
