The crowd rose to their feet as Amador Balesio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Blas Leizarraga. That made the score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Iturreguí's Bernardo Lucila slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Blas Leizarraga. That made the score 6-0 after 43 minutes of play. In the 48th minute Amador Balesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Leizarraga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeca Tinoco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blas Leizarraga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Santiago in the 51st minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Oroño AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Cordario came free, but Blas Leizarraga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blas Leizarraga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Iturreguí's Omar Cordario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Blas Leizarraga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After 68 played minutes Iturreguí got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Abeijon. After 70 minutes of play, Iturreguí's Omar Cordario made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blas Leizarraga was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute Amador Balesio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Leizarraga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Aquilino Santiago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Blas Leizarraga was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Blas Leizarraga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Cordario in the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Iturreguí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Ipar to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Santiago in the 96th minute of play forced Oroño AFC's goalkeeper Blas Leizarraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iturreguí's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
