Albino Hulberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Celso Bernabel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teobaldo Rainerio scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo Karmel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute of the game, Pablo Ceandro landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Teobaldo Rainerio's late challenge caught a Rivadavia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teobaldo Rainerio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rivadavia FC booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Rainerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergio Gartzea hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, Albino Hulberto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Celso Bernabel. Albino Hulberto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Iwan Kochniarczyk made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albino Hulberto in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Bernabel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Albino Hulberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivadavia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Hulberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Bernabel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Cirilo Herena hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Rivadavia FC's Albino Hulberto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Bernabel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Albino Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Bernabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72ndth minute of the game Albino Hulberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors's Celso Bernabel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lorenzo Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Kochniarczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Boca Juniors's Conny Harlén ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lorenzo Karmel. Lorenzo Karmel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The audience was convinced that Albino Hulberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Bernabel was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 88th minute Eloy Caton suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Rogelio Cordarrel charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogelio Cordarrel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rivadavia FC made a substitution. Saturnino Gabirel replaced Eloy Caton. In the 93rdth minute of the game Saturnino Gabirel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors's Celso Bernabel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rivadavia FC's Saturnino Gabirel got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Conny Harlén fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Conny Harlén a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Conny Harlén. Boca Juniors were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Rivadavia FC's much stronger midfield.
