The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Anastasio Locaio hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 55 minutes Jose Cuervo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ovidio Oliverio who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Donato Larpe managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jacobo Enekoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Matias Oro came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Jose Cuervo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Oro couldn't finish the play.
