In the 17thth minute of the game Modesto Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Teofil Turek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leon James showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saltuk Talayhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Siro Victoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, C.A. Colón de Santa Fe's Leon James got control of the ball when Paulo Mateus tried to sneak it across the goal line. C.A. Colón de Santa Fe's Leon James proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Colón de Santa Fe from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, C.A. Colón de Santa Fe's Leon James got control of the ball when Evelio Iratze tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teofil Turek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Machado in the 34th minute of play. Leon James took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Mateus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, C.A. The wind increased when Modesto Machado made the kick off in the second half. Paulo Mateus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon James having to interfere. A collision led to C.A. In the 55th minute, one of River Plate:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for River Plate. Colón de Santa Fe's goalkeeper Leon James, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A. Colón de Santa Fe's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fulgencio Mikelats was slow to take the kick. During this time River Plate's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Ivan Argoitz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Matias Socorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Vincent to maneuver through the defense. Victor Rami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Teofil Turek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River Plate's Teofil Turek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. Teofil Turek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tomas Vincent fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Tomas Vincent a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Vincent. In the 80th minute, Matias Socorro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Teofil Turek. The goal made the score 1-1. C.A. Colón de Santa Fe's Leon James played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saltuk Talayhan in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Sixto Fonda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Vincent got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Tomas Vincent hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Carmelo Maties from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Teofil Turek's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, C.A. Colón de Santa Fe's Modesto Machado got a free kick in the 96th minute. Despite being the better team, C.A. Colón de Santa Fe failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
