Espín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Rufo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aristides Innocenzio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Baristo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Aristides Innocenzio was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Filomeno Rufo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filomeno Rufo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Baristo came free, but Aristides Innocenzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Filomeno Rufo could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Aristides Innocenzio however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Academia FC's Aristides Innocenzio got control of the ball when Isaias Koldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Filomeno Rufo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aristides Innocenzio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Academia FC were furious when Mario Beltxe was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Academia FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! Academia FC:s Aristides Innocenzio showed great skill when he stopped Flavio Sagrario:s penalty. 50 minutes into the game, Espín's Flavio Sagrario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aristides Innocenzio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Bembe to make the kick off. Espín's attentive Manuel Moise managed to snatch the ball when Simon Lauaxeta made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Marcial Baristo made a precise shot to the right of Aristides Innocenzio. Academia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Aristides Innocenzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Baristo in the 64th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Filomeno Rufo made a precise shot to the right of Aristides Innocenzio. Academia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Baristo in the 90th minute of play forced Academia FC's goalkeeper Aristides Innocenzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Sagrario took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aristides Innocenzio. Aristides Innocenzio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Modesto Etxekopar hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Espín were the better team. Espín's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
