Filomeno Selatse kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Ekber Eryaman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Gaizko. Racing Banco Provincia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ekber Eryaman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ekber Eryaman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Racing Banco Provincia's Vicente Jokin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Nicasio Sotil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Gaizko having to make a save. If Ramon Matxin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Racing Banco Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Sotil came free, but Zeledon Gaizko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Racing Banco Provincia's Zeledon Gaizko got control of the ball when Ramon Matxin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee showed Lázaro Errolan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes Racing Banco Provincia got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Errolan. Vikingos played a much better game than Racing Banco Provincia and deserved their victory. The Racing Banco Provincia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
