The River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some careless play in the Maquina de Sangre defense, Artemio Romero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Ixaka. The Maquina de Sangre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Ixaka should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute, Celestino Lazcano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Ixaka was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Celestino Lazcano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcial Richie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Celestino Lazcano managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Lazcano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Ixaka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 60 in the game by Celestino Lazcano from a close distance when the talented Roman Ixaka managed to make a qualified save. Maquina de Sangre's players were relieved. After 62 played minutes, River Plate's Serafin Milian shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roman Ixaka came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in River Plate reached it. The River Plate fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when River Plate's Celestino Lazcano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. But to his dismay, Celestino Lazcano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. If Celestino Lazcano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Celestino Lazcano sped through Maquina de Sangre's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roman Ixaka. Artemio Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Roman Ixaka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celestino Lazcano in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Ixaka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. River Plate's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
