After a rather tough play, Chilcas AFC's Saturnino Oskarbi got a free kick in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chilcas AFC's zone, Cristobal Ilixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Liberto came out of the goal and Cristobal Ilixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Constantino Jayvier fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chilcas AFC's protests and gave Constantino Jayvier a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of HACHA Y TIZA booed when Chilcas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Jayvier didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Ilixo in the 48th minute of play forced Chilcas AFC's goalkeeper Eleuterio Liberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The referee showed Leonel Alvarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
