Leandro Nafarroa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlitos Nuñez in the 3rd minute. Leandro Nafarroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilian Ryan in the 8th minute of play forced Desaguaredo's goalkeeper Leandro Nafarroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Desaguaredo's goalkeeper Leandro Nafarroa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Israel Ekain. In the 13thth minute of the game Jonathan Manni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stayle's Delmar Ayala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Humberto Inautzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leandro Nafarroa. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. After 18 played minutes Desaguaredo got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Oriche. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilian Ryan in the 19th minute of play forced Desaguaredo's goalkeeper Leandro Nafarroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlitos Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Nafarroa having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Desaguaredo's goal looked a bit too open when Gilian Ryan came free, but Leandro Nafarroa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Desaguaredo's Leandro Nafarroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Inautzi in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Desaguaredo's goalkeeper Leandro Nafarroa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Desaguaredo getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jonathan Manni hit a great ball. Gilian Ryan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Nafarroa having to make a save. If Humberto Inautzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 3-0 became the score in the 46th minute when Humberto Inautzi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Arixo to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Gilian Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Nafarroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Carlitos Nuñez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leandro Nafarroa. Desaguaredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlitos Nuñez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Israel Ekain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Nafarroa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Carlitos Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Inautzi in the 73rd minute of play forced Desaguaredo's goalkeeper Leandro Nafarroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desaguaredo's Mario Arixo got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Mario Arixo off the ground. After 76 played minutes Desaguaredo got a freekick which was hit by Mario Arixo. Leandro Nafarroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Ekain in the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Robustiano Oriche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Desaguaredo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stayle the free kick. Robustiano Oriche kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Inautzi in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Nafarroa saved Desaguaredo from getting behind.
