The Sativa FC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Sativa FC's Pascual Tirso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After the first half Sativa FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Pascual Tirso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaspar Markel was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 87th minute, EL AS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gabriel Iago fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Blas Ayala was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The Sativa FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
