The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidio Ponce got free with Jeremias Vincent in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Chorrillos AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Albano Serafo hit a great ball. Damaso Erasto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Santio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cordarrol Valbuena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jeremias Vincent made a huge save. In the 17th match minute, Chorrillos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Santio to maneuver through the defense. Cordarrol Valbuena struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Jeremias Vincent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Checa.F.C. 25 minutes in the game, Efren Medina fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jeremias Vincent having to interfere. Damaso Erasto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Santio in the 27th minute of play. When Carlos Banegas came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Chorrillos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Banegas couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Rolando Santio made a precise shot to the right of Damaso Erasto. Checa.F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 44th minute Rolando Santio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damaso Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Estevon hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half Chorrillos AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Santio to strike the kick off in the second half. If Cordarrol Valbuena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Chorrillos AFC's Rolando Santio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Damaso Erasto. Damaso Erasto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chorrillos AFC! 86 minutes into the match, Checa.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Santio came free, but Damaso Erasto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Silvestre Misael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Checa.F.C booed when Chorrillos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Obano didn't get a good kick on the ball.
